Every store that you go in there are barcode scanners nearby. It allows you to quickly find the price of an item you are looking for. It is neat to go to the self scanners and find out the price of merchandise, without having to stand in line and wait. When I go to the store to do my shopping I like to get in and out in a timely fashion, but that is not always possible. With the invention of do it yourself scanners, my problem is resolved. I load my groceries on the counter and then slide them down one by one. The scanner then rings up each item as it is passes by the brain of the scanner. It finally totals my purchase and I pay the register. Then I am done and free to leave the store. Scanners have made shopping a pleasant experience for me.
