Barcode scanner to Ubercart2 stock inventory, does such a module ...

I'm looking for a solution to scan product barcodes which will ultimately add or update Drupal so an ubercart product can be created or updated with up-to-date stock numbers. I can't find anything, does anyone know of a module or some software to work from?
